Somehow it always comes back to this...

For the past few months, I've been in total head-down mode.

You know those seasons—where you're grinding away behind the scenes but to the outside world it probably looks a little bit like you've completely fallen off the face of the earth?

The truth is, there's a LOT happening over here at Ruth Soukup Omnimedia, even if I'm not quite ready to spill all the details yet.

But I've been pouring my heart into some incredible new projects for my business clients, plus finishing up a brand new audio masterclass for my health clients called Unstoppable Weight Loss that I’m so excited about I can hardly stand it.

I also recently decided to accept an invitation to speak at the Rewriting Fear & Anxiety Summit, even though—if I'm being brutally honest—I almost said no.

Because even though I’m SO passionate about the topic of fear and how it affects our lives, the truth is that Do It Scared isn't really my main focus anymore. After all, I wrote that book more than five years ago!

These days, I spend way more time talking about health, hormones, and business strategy than fear and anxiety.

And yet, what I realized this week is that at the end of the day, it all circles back to the same dang thing.

Mindset.

Learning how to overcome fear by changing the way you think, and the story you tell yourself.

That's it. That's the whole secret.

That's the common thread running through literally EVERYTHING.

Everything we do. Everything we don’t do. Everything we wish we could do.

And when I sat down to record that interview for the summit, I somehow found myself talking candidly about my long battle with depression in my early twenties. About surviving five suicide attempts. About hitting absolute rock bottom and somehow finding the strength to claw my way out.

But I also talked about how that season—the darkest and most painful time of my life—literally became the foundation for every ounce of courage and resilience I've had since.

About how I am who I am today, not despite my struggles, but as a result of them.

Because I learned how to change the story I told myself.

And that changed everything.

Whether you're trying to heal your body, build a business, chase a dream, or just survive a really hard season, it's your mindset that determines whether you'll push through or give up. Whether you'll find the courage to keep going or let fear call all the shots.

That's why I've been so freaking passionate lately about diving deeper into the mental side of transformation—not just in business, but in health too.

Because you can have the best plan in the world, but if your brain is still stuck in perfectionism, all-or-nothing thinking, or fear of failure, you'll never stick with it.

And honestly? That's true for just about everything in life.

Eleanor Roosevelt once said, "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face." Along those same lines, Henry Ford famously noted that "whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right."

In other words? Mindset isn't just part of the equation. It IS the equation.

And so, my challenge for you this week is simple: Identify one area where your mindset might be holding you back—and choose to reframe it. Choose to believe a better story. Choose to lean in instead of backing down.

Because the only thing standing between you and unstoppable might just be the way you think.

Live with purpose, friend, and have an amazing week!

xoxo, Ruth

What’s cooking in my kitchen…

Here’s the recipe I shared recently:

Blueberry Cream Cheese Muffins

These blueberry low-carb muffins are made almost entirely out of cream cheese making them the perfect afternoon pick-me-up. While you can eat them warm, I actually think they taste better & hold together better when they’re cold. But of course you can decide that for yourself! I shared this recipe directly on my Instagram, but you can actually grab it (plus 100 other delicious recipes) in my digital Zero Deprivation Cookbook!
